Luo Li Rong

I just found her art a few days ago and I AM BLOWN AWAY!!!  They are without a doubt, some of the most amazing pieces of sculpture that I've ever seen, and I spend my fair share of time in art museums.  I'd love to own a replica of this some day.  I guess for now, I'll just have to enjoy the endless search for a piece of her work.  I know it's a lost cause, but let me dream, OK???  Click on the 'PLAY' button to watch the video (below).  Here's the link to her Instagram profile to check out more of her incredible work.  :)

Getting Creative

I went to Michael's tonight to get me @marigaki painting professionally framed.  It's going to look beautiful!  Like something that should be hanging in a museum.  I'll post a photo once I get it back.  Anyway, it's impossible to go into that place and not have the creative juices start flowing.  You want to just start creating everything.  I want to draw, I want to paint, I want to, well let me stop right there.  I don't want to scrapbook, I don't want to needlepoint, so I do have my limitations...LOL

I had been messing around with oils more lately, and I have started to grow tired of them, so I've decided to get back into acrylics.  It's been a while since I've done any painting with acrylics, but I remember how fun it used to be, and sometimes oil painting can be a chore.  Don't get me wrong, it's still a nice creative outlet, but with my anxiety & OCD (that I've spoken about before), the drying process can start to cause problems for me mentally.  If you've ever done oil painting before, you know what I'm talking about.  I like working with a lot of different layers, so this is where the problems start to occur.  I'm really looking forward to throwing down a sketch tomorrow and getting the paints out.  It's going to be a lot of fun.

Today, I've added a few more things to the site, and will probably add a few more in the days to come (the same type of concept).  They are some of my YouTube playlists (that you'll find under the Entertainment tab) at the top of this page.  Of course, most people may find them boring, but if you have the same taste in things that I do, you may find them interesting and might decide to hang around for a while.  YOU are the peeps that I want to hear from, so drop me a line in the Contact section and let's share some crazy stories, ideas, etc, that probably only the two of us would understand.  Some of you know what I mean...

Peace, and I hope you're enjoying the weekend!

...and then, I have nature and art and poetry, and if that is not enough, what is enough?

Hold It Together

I love Gypsie Raleigh's work.  It tells such a powerful story, in such cute little drawings.  I'll post more of her stuff in the future, but I just wanted to drop this on tonight.  It’s what someone has done for me these past few days.  Find more of everything on Gypsie’s website at the link below.

Aurora (by MariGaki)

Aurora (by MariGaki - aka Marina Inagaki)

(Arrived yesterday!) Easily one of the most beautiful pieces of art that I've ever purchased (by Marina Inagaki).  The name of the painting is called Aurora.  I'm so glad that I found her, and her online shop.  She is incredibly talented.  The painting is even more breathtaking when you see it in person.  You can view her online store here -  I plan on buying lots of other things (when the money comes available). LOL  Until then, I want to frame this up  and get it on the wall.  Pics of that will be coming soon!

Thanks so much, Marina!  You have a special talent, and your artwork is unlike anything I've ever seen.  Keep on painting! :)
